La liste des fichiers se trouve dans /var/lib/apt/lists/
Utiliser xpdf ne serait pas un mal, car un apt-cache show acroread me
donne:

Package: acroread
Priority: optional
Section: non-free/text

De plus, xpdf est pas mal du tout, et c'est pas une usine a gaz.
