Bonjour,
Voilà deux jours que j'essai d'installer une Mandrake 6.0. Tout s'est
pour l'instant bien passé mais je n'arrive pas à configurer mon serveur
X.
J'ai helas le désavantage d'avoir une carte graphique Intel i740. Lors
d'une précédent installation d'une RH5.2 j'avais bien galèré mais j'y
étais arrivé.
Voilà ce que j'ai fait :
- installation du serveur XFree86-VGA16
- installation de XF86Setup
- installation de XFree86-SVGA
- Configuration des fréquence de l'écran à l'aide de XF86Setup
- installation de XBF_i740
- suppression du fichier etc/X11/X
- création de ce fichier à l'aide de la commande suivante "ln -sf
/usr/X11R6/XBF_i740 /etc/X11/X
Ensuit le lance "startx " et j'obtiens les erreurs copiées dans le
fichier erreur joint.
Quelqu'un pourrait il m'expliquer ce que j'ai fait ou pas fait qui pose
problème.
Ensuite voici trois questions :
Quel est l'utilité et le rôle du fichier XBF_i740 par rapport au
serveur XFree86 ?
A quoi sert le fichier X et que fait la commande ln ?
Pourquoi la carte i740 n'est pas supporté directement par XFree86 et
cela va t il venir ?
Si vous avait des infos et quelques explications générales sur le
fonctionnement du serveur X, je suis preneur.
Voilà j'attend toutes les informations qui peuvent m'aider et je peux
fournir toutes les infos qui peuvent vous aider à résoudre mon problème.
