Linux solution architect – Role & responsibilities
The Linux Solutions Architect's (SA) primary role is to develop technical
solutions, architecture, and service setup documents that can successfully
meet requirements of our customers, mainly composed of Software developers.
He will ensure that optimal solutions are provided to clients to maximize
their business outcomes and minimize client’s total cost of ownership.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Collect, consolidate, understand and write technical requirements of our
customers.
* Lead the gathering of Linux service oriented architecture, design, and
documentation of solutions to meet the customer's needs.
* Provide architectural governance model.
* Understands current architecture/infrastructure constraints, and propose
adapted integration.
Linux solution architect – Skills & Experience
* Global infrastructure skills.
* Technical expertise on Linux authentication against Active Directory,
automated Linux installation, maintenance, operations, protection,
virtualization.
* Advanced knowledge of Linux RedHat and Ubuntu.
* Knowledgeable with “Desktop as a Service” and cloud computing concept.
* Basic knowledge of complex software integration and Compute farm model.
* Knowledgeable with open source technologies.
* Comfortable with ITIL, especially when it comes to new service
implementation, including support model and processes.
* Self-disciplined and have the ability to work independently and as part
of a team.
* Excellent written, oral communication – fluent English is mandatory.
* Travels to be considered as part of the job.
* College degree or equivalent.
* Minimum 7 years Infrastructure Systems/Service experience with focus on
Linux based Infrastructure in multinational companies.
Linux solution architect - Details
* Duration/man-days: Full time till end of October
Global approach stage II (Objective is to provide solution(s) design as
per business requirements collected in previous phase)
Delivery date: e/o October
Short term approach (As global service does not cover short term
needs/projects, an intermediate solution will be made available)
Delivery date: e/o September
* Location:
Primary locations: Grenoble and around.
Regular travels to Sweden expected. Some other EU countries as well.
