Que veux tu comme fonctionnalités que le client ssh standard ne
fournirait pas ?

Sinon, les sources de Putty existent pour Unix, ça doit bien compiler
sous Linux : http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/download.html
