Je ne suis pas tout à fait d'accord. On peut relier directement
fetchmail à procmail sans passer par exim/postfix/sendmail et compagnie.

passed to an MDA directly (rather than forwarded to port 25) with the
--mda or -m option. To avoid losing mail, use this option only with MDAs
like procmail or sendmail that return a nonzero status on disk-full and
other resource-exhaustion errors; the nonzero status tells fetchmail that
delivery failed and prevents the message from being deleted off the
server. If fetchmail is running as root, it sets its userid to that of the
target user while delivering mail through an MDA. Some possible MDAs are

"/usr/bin/procmail -d %T" (but the latter is usually redundant as it’s

MDA : Mail Delivery Agent. Bref, comme procmail, imap, pop3
Bref, c'est faisable de se passer d'exim. D'un certain point de
vue, c'est même plus sécurisé, car cela fait un démon de moins qui tourne,
et un port de moins d'ouvert. Mais de l'autre, c'est moins sécure si il y
a des problème d'espace disque, si les entêtes des mails sont
volontairement mal formatées. Et tu as nettements moins de possibilités de
log.
