J'ai récupéré ceci sur une autre mailing list, celà ressemble à ton problème:
I think you have to add this line in /etc/conf.modules alias eth0 ne
options ne io=0x300 irq=5
change io port and irq so that they're suitable to your card.

Serait t-il par hasard un probleme de "numero brule": quand on a fait
trop de fausse manoevre, le nulero est brule par france-telecom. Il
faut alors reinitialiser le modem. Si c'est un boitierrr externe, il
suffit d'eteindre et rallumer. Si c'est une carte interne, il faut
probablement rebooter.
