Mais le mieux est de faire comme suit:
(define-key global-map [dead-circumflex] circumflex-map)
(define-key circumflex-map " " "^")
(define-key circumflex-map "o" [ocircumflex])
etc ...
Comme ca, "^ " donne "^", "^o" donne ô, etc ...
