Pb install red hat 5.2

Bonjour a tous,

J'ai essaye d'installer linux (red hat 5.2) sur mon PC, mais je n'y suis
pas (encore) parvenu.
Le boot s'execute depuis le cd-rom, et je vois apparaitre la premiere
page red-hat demandant d'appuyer sur << entree >> pour proceder a
l'installation.

J'ai ensuite les messages habituels :
loading initrd.img........
loading vmlinux......

Puis tout une serie de messages de detections diverses (voir a la fin du
mail) avant que cela ne s'arrete aux messages :

hda: ST38420A, 8223MB w/512KB cache, CHS=1048/255/63
hdb: CRD-8400C, ATAPI CDROM drive

et que plus rien ne se passe.

Pouvez-vous m'aider a diagnostiquer (voire a resoudre) le probleme ?
