    Salut à tous !    

Bon, d'abord je vous prie de m'excuser pour mes questions où je ne détaille
pas assez mes questions.

Allez, on est parti *sérieusement*

Problèmes :

1) J'ai xfree en 256 couleurs
2) Un bureau virtuel naze (réglé grâce à vous)
3) xfree se bloque très vite après utilisation et impossible de faire quoi
que ce soit sauf un reset manu militari (ouch)

Installation

J'ai installé la redhat 5.0 (hurricane) noyau 2.0.32. Ne sachant pas quoi
installé exactement, j'ai installé tous les packages lors de
l'installation. xfree version 3.3.1

J'ai un PII233 avec une carte mère Elite
Une souris m$ intellimouse 1.1A sur port ps/2
(j'ai le server svga patché pour intelli, mais pas encore installé, vous me
le conseillez ?)

Un modem USR externe 33.6 (ppp ok je crois)
Une carte ethernet sur port isa (pas de réseau derrière, utilisation
occasionnelle)
Un cd-rom, un ou deux disque(s) dur(s)
Un écran 1280*1024 15"
Une SB AWE 64 (configurer comme un charme avec la redhat)
un lecteur zip dont je ne me sers pas pour l'instant (configuration ok qd
même)
Et surtout,
une Carte AGP Cirrus Logic à chipset CL-GD5465 avec 4 Mo de mémoire vidéo


Voila, vous pouvez sauvegarder ce mél, il pourra servir pour une
utilisation ultérieure ;+)

J'ai utilisé Xconfigurator 3.2 (??) pour configurer xfree ainsi que le
setup de la redhat en général... Mon écran est correctement configuré, ma
carte video n'est pas listée , je mets unlisted card, serveur svga, 4 meg,
je ne teste pas (probe ~ rapport chipset cirrus, pas de probe conseillé,
enfin je crois) Je fais skip lorsqu'il veut tester les horloges où je ne
sais plus quoi d'autres... bref je ne spécifie pas de "clockchip" ensuite
je pose 1024*768 pour les trois modes proposés (8, 16 et 24) et voila, ça
se termine là :-)

N'y a-t-il pas un meilleur serveur que svga pour ma carte ? Notez que j'ai
essayé d'en obtenir les caractéristiques avec univbe.exe sous dos, rien à
faire :(

Notez pour mon freeze que cela se passe généralment lorsque je travaille
avec une session xterm, par exemple, je suis à peu près sûr que je fais
tout planter en lançant Text Mode File system tool :( Par exemple, à
l'instant je viens d'essayer deux trois trucs, j'ai lancé cet outil
(cabaret 0.5) pour tester... il se lance (c'est un miracle) je ferme une
fenêtre derrière et bim plantage magistral. J'ai essayé de lire le manuel
de la redhat, pareil... taulage avec lynx dasn une fenêtre xterm...
